Did you miss me?
I’ve been soaking in summer.
(And exploring a whole other creative side of me!)
It’s been an interesting summer, full of big feelings and unexpected surprises — some good ones and one not so great lemony one that we’ve used to make lemonade.
Or in this case, a metaphorical blueberry pie.
Days of dipping my feet in sun-baked sand and treading through warm ocean water.
Who would have guessed that the water would be so much warmer on the coast of Connecticut than the frigid Massachusetts beaches?
It’s been a summer of not one, but two unplanned vacations. One to Nantucket with a good friend, the other a 10-day trip to Clinton, CT at an Airbnb rental with Sam and Eve (and a few visitors along the way).
This summer has been one of exploration, both personal and business.
Although for me they are very much intertwined.
I’ve spent a large chunk of time digging deep — and not just in the sand.
I spent the second half of June and parts of July riding an emotional tidal wave. (So much so, at one point I wondered if I was pregnant! Which, in case you’re wondering, I’m not.)
I reached a point where I was seriously considering giving up my business. A dose of time away and a solid two-week break (or maybe it was three?) was what I needed to refuel me.
I have a much clearer picture of my business future now, including a long-term vision that completed surprised me.
But that’s a story for another day.
For now, I’m going to spend the next few weeks easing my way back into blogging, and of course enjoying summer.
What have you been up to this summer?
